Theme Design System & Style Guide

Typography Hierarchy

This style guide showcases the typographic scale and standard elements compiled for the PressCore theme. The layout utilizes premium variable serif weights alongside a monospaced font for structural sub-headers and technical tokens.

Heading One (H1)

H1 is primarily reserved for article titles and landing page banners. It uses heavy serif styling to draw reader focus immediately.

Heading Two (H2)

H2 serves as the primary section breaks in long-form posts. It features a bold, high-contrast serif structure.

Heading Three (H3)

H3 headings demarcate subsections within primary segments, offering clean spacing and readability.

Heading Four (H4)

H4 elements are used for minor headings, inline callouts, or author sub-headings.

Heading Five (H5)

H5 offers small uppercase monospaced options for technical tokens or label tags.

Heading Six (H6)

H6 provides ultra-small tracking details, primarily for inline metadata labels.

Lists & Formatting

PressCore includes clean spacing for unordered, ordered, and nested list structures:

  • First unordered list item, styling default bullet indicators.
  • Second item displaying matching text alignment.
    • Nested list item with circle or square sub-bullets.
    • Second nested item showing proper indents.
  • Third outer item in the list block.
  1. First numbered item in an ordered sequence.
  2. Second item showcasing decimal increments.

Quotes & Accents

Standard blockquotes render with left border accents and italic styling:

"Independent writing is not just about producing text; it is about resisting the momentum of click-driven algorithms to spend the time required for real depth."
— PressCore Manifesto

We also support pull-quotes and callout blocks for highlights:
